One great way to pass the time on some of our more strenuous days was to find and photograph unique mushrooms. When asked what I was doing (that was you, Johannes), I replied, “Uh, well… my mom likes mushrooms, so I photograph them for her when I see ’em.” Not the smoothest response, but apparently the funniest, as word got out a bit (thank you, Johannes) about me being the weird guy who stops to photograph mushrooms for his mom. But Mom, it was totally worth it, right? These were some killer ‘shrooms.
